Cookies Policy
This Cookies Policy explains what cookies are, which cookies we use on gowearon.com, why we use them, and how you can control them. It complements our Privacy Policy.
What is a cookie
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device when you visit a website. Cookies allow the site to remember your actions and preferences (login, region, language, font size, cart contents) over a period of time, so you don't have to re-enter them whenever you come back or browse between pages.
Why we use cookies
We use cookies to operate the store, secure your session, remember your cart, understand site usage, and improve the buying experience. We group cookies into four categories:
1. Strictly necessary
Required for the site to function. Cannot be switched off. Examples:
-
Session and cart — Shopify
_secure_session_id,cart,cart_ts,cart_ver,cart_sig— keep you signed in and remember what's in your bag during a visit. -
Security — Shopify
_shopify_y,_shopify_s,secure_customer_sig— protect against fraud and verify your account. - Checkout — Shopify checkout cookies that persist your order details through completion.
2. Functional
Enable enhanced functionality and personalisation. Examples:
- Customer preferences — remember your region, currency, and language selection.
-
Recently viewed —
wearon_rv, set by our theme to populate your "Recently Viewed" panel. - Rivo Loyalty Rewards — store your Circle points balance and tier for instant display.
3. Analytics & performance
Help us understand how customers interact with the site so we can improve it. Examples:
-
Shopify Analytics —
_y,_s,_tracking_consent— anonymous traffic and conversion measurement. -
Klaviyo —
__kla_id, anonymous engagement tracking for our newsletter platform. - Pandectes GDPR Cookie Consent — manages your consent preferences.
4. Marketing & advertising
Used to deliver advertising relevant to you and measure the effectiveness of campaigns. We currently use:
- Meta (Facebook) Pixel — for retargeting on Facebook and Instagram.
- Google Ads — for conversion measurement.
- TikTok Pixel — for retargeting on TikTok (when enabled).
How to control cookies
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the cookie banner at the bottom of the screen, powered by Pandectes. Click "Manage cookie preferences" to open the consent panel.
You can also block cookies in your browser settings — see the help pages for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. Note: blocking strictly-necessary cookies will break checkout and account functions.
Do Not Track
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. We respect this signal where technically possible — when received, we disable non-essential analytics and advertising cookies for that session.
Third-party cookies
Some cookies on our site are placed by third parties we work with (Shopify, Klaviyo, Rivo, Pandectes, Meta, Google, TikTok). Each of those parties operates under their own privacy policy:
- Shopify Privacy Policy
- Klaviyo Privacy Policy
- Rivo Privacy Policy
- Meta Privacy Policy
- Google Privacy Policy
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookies Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, regulation, or our practices. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it was most recently revised.
