Pinks & Rose
Pink, beyond the cliché
The pink wardrobe has had a long rehabilitation. Elle has tracked the colour's evolution from 1950s domesticity to its current status as a serious luxury hue — Valentino's Pink PP collection in 2022, Pierpaolo Piccioli's complete saturation, made the case definitively.
Our pinks lean toward the dusty and warm side rather than candy-bright. Soft blush in cotton-linen. Warm rose in satin. Pieces designed to read intentional, not sweet.
How to wear
Pink pairs most successfully with neutrals — stone, ivory, soft camel — and with deep blacks for the high-contrast register. Avoid combining with bright reds or yellows; the result reads costume-y. The most current pairing is pink with brown, a combination Vogue called the colour story of the year in a recent feature.
